July 7, 2018, Regina, SK – Motorcycle enthusiasts from across southern Saskatchewan hit the open road today, helping raise $14,711 through the Who’s Your Daddy Ride for Prostate Cancer. This marks the ninth consecutive year that riders have rallied together to raise funds for the Prostate Assessment Centre at the Pasqua Hospital.

Since 2009, Who’s Your Daddy has raised $171,500 to establish the Centre and provide funding for state-of-the-art equipment and technology. This year, funds will support research, education and technology.

“Rawlco is committed to making a real, tangible difference in the lives of those who call southern Saskatchewan home. Our support of the Prostate Assessment Centre speaks to that commitment,” says Tom Newton, vice president and general manager of Rawlco Radio. “Through events like Who’s Your Daddy, we’re proud to do our part to ensure the Centre remains a key resource for men’s health care in our community.”

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer affecting men, with one in eight men being diagnosed. The Prostate Assessment Centre plays a critical role in providing patients with early detection, diagnosis and treatment. Last year alone, 534 men received biopsies at the Centre.

“The creativity and generosity of this community never ceases to amaze me,” says Dino Sophocleous, president and CEO. “While more men are being diagnosed with prostate cancer, improved testing and treatment has allowed them to live long and productive lives. It is through unique events like Who’s Your Daddy that we ensure the men in our community live better lives.”
