You’re a news person looking to take the next step in your career.  You want to be in a market where big stories happen, in a newsroom that can help you grow your career.

We have a full-time, permanent position for a Reporter/Anchor at 650 CKOM in Saskatoon.

You should:

  • Have a minimum of two years experience with strong reporting skills
  • Be able to work on all platforms – radio, web and social media
  • Be enterprising-able to develop your own stories
  • Have excellent news judgement
  • Ability to work quickly under deadlines as part of a news team
  • Anchoring experience is an asset
  • Have a valid driver’s license.

Creative Writer – Rawlco Regina

Rawlco Radio / Rawlco Creative Strategies in Regina is looking for our next great Creative Writer!  We want people who are passionate about creating, marketing/advertising, strategy, and sound.  We are looking for people who think outside the box — and also, people who can’t stand clichéd phrases like, “think outside the box.”

Successful candidates will enjoy their glamourous new life in radio, working with our writers, audio producers, voice artists, sales team, and strikingly handsome Creative Director. You’ll strategize and write campaigns, producing amazing creative that helps grow the community and local business.

The right person is highly organized with a laser-focused attention to detail to handle the administrative parts of the gig.  They also have some next level customer service skills.  And they have great ideas and demonstrated writing skills.  While it’s not a deal breaker for the person who has the right experience, a degree in fields like English, communications, journalism, or a B Comm in marketing, would be considered an asset.

Digital Content Manager

We are looking for someone to manage our digital footprint (CKOM.com and CJME.com).  You will understand analytics to help grow and expand both our websites and social media platforms. You will be a great communicator and teacher who is able to help motivate and drive our digital teams in Saskatchewan.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in digital creation and development.
  • Knowledge of video & audio-based storytelling and editing.
  • Proven leadership skills
  • A creative mind with the ability to think outside the box.
  • Strong organizational, planning, time-management and problem-solving skills and be detail orientated. detail orientated background
  • Experience in journalism and news writing is an asset
