Rawlco Radio in Saskatoon is looking for the next person to join our growing news team of experienced multi-media journalists. The digital reporter will be part of a team responsible for ckom.com, as well as contributing to radio news for News Talk 650 CKOM.

The successful candidate will have a serious interest in current events and breaking news.

Responsibilities:
• Writing and editing print stories that follow Canadian Press guidelines
• Collecting of multi-media material – photos, videos and maps – to add to web copy.
• Using social media, including Twitter and Facebook
• Taking photos and videos
• Conducting phone interviews
• Some field reporting, covering meetings and events as required
• Participate on air as required

Qualifications
• Post-secondary diploma or degree in journalism, or equivalent reporting experience
• Good communication and time management skills
• Ability to work independently, handle a variety of tasks and budget time effectively
• Ability to take photos and video (or the willingness to learn these skills)
• Working knowledge of Canadian Press style
• Great news judgment
• Some radio experience an asset
