C95 Radio Marathon Makes History

C95 Radio Marathon Raises Record-Breaking Funds for Breast Cancer Research in Saskatchewan

The generosity of the Saskatchewan community has once again made history. The C95 Radio Marathon for Breast Cancer Research has raised a new, record-breaking $528,032, marking the highest total in the event’s 26-year history.

Funds raised support the Cancer Foundation of Saskatchewan and stay right here at home to advance local research that’s improving outcomes for those affected by breast cancer.

“Year after year, this community shows up with such extraordinary generosity,” says Nora Yeates, CEO of the Cancer Foundation of Saskatchewan. “This new record reflects not only the incredible support during Radio Marathon, but also the donations and events that continued through to the end of October. Every contribution helps drive real, life-changing progress in breast cancer research and care — and it all starts with people who give from the heart.”

The community’s donations help brave individuals affected by a breast cancer diagnosis live longer, healthier lives with their families. Funds will be used by the Cancer Foundation of Saskatchewan to support local breast cancer research and help Saskatchewan researchers develop new treatments and improve care for patients across the province.

“It’s incredible to see what happens when Saskatchewan comes together,” says Rob Suski, C95 Morning Show host. “Every dollar, every story, every moment shared during Radio Marathon makes a difference — and this new record shows the incredible impact this community can make.”

Since it began, C95 Radio Marathon for Breast Cancer Research has raised more than $7.4 million, with every dollar staying in Saskatchewan to support local research that’s improving outcomes for those affected by breast cancer.

The Cancer Foundation of Saskatchewan is the fundraising partner of the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency. Every dollar raised by the Foundation is dedicated to funding innovative research, early detection, and prevention programs, as well as providing support for patients and families facing cancer in the province. By keeping funds local, the Foundation ensures that contributions directly benefit Saskatchewan residents in meaningful ways.
