Rock 102 Stuff The Bus Raises Record-Breaking Total

Local Generosity Fills 2 Bus Loads With Food For Saskatoon Community

Saskatoon, SK – This year’s Rock 102 Stuff the Bus brought in a staggering 2 bus loads with 16,111 pounds of food and raised a record $148,652 for Saskatoon Food Bank & Learning Centre (SFBLC).

With the success of this year’s Stuff the Bus, Laurie O’Connor, Executive Director of SFBLC, expressed her gratitude, saying: “We are incredibly grateful to each and every community member who
contributed to Stuff the Bus. Your support ensures that families in Saskatoon have access to the nutritious food they need, especially during challenging times.”

Stuff the Bus, a cornerstone event that started in 2005, has once again shown the power of unity and compassion in action. Today’s food donations will go directly towards stocking SFBLC’s shelves, ensuring that no family goes without a meal when they need it most. Moreover, these contributions will allow SFBLC to further their mission of ensuring a food-secure community where all individuals have access to nutritious meals.

Laurie O’Connor further added, “The impact of Stuff the Bus goes beyond the numbers. It represents the spirit of Saskatoon—of neighbours feeding neighbours, of coming together in times of need, and of creating a stronger, more connected community.”

Thanks to the incredible partnerships and everyone in the community who got involved and donated generously, this year’s Stuff the Bus campaign will help make a difference to the 23,000 individuals who access SFBLC’s services each month; 41% of those are children.
