39th Annual Z99 Radiothon Raises $413,607 for babies needing Regina’s NICU
Regina, Sask. – Z99 Morning Show hosts Justin, Wheels and Shauna Foster hit the airwaves, sharing stories of heartbreak and triumph, to help save babies’ lives in Regina and southern Saskatchewan. Thanks to unwavering support from so many generous people in southern Saskatchewan, the 39th annual Z99 Radiothon raised $413,607 for Hospitals of Regina Foundation in support of our neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), located in the Rawlco Centre for Mother Baby Care at Regina’s General Hospital.
“There’s something truly remarkable about this community. The way people step up, open their hearts, and give so selflessly, it never stops amazing us. Every story we hear and every contribution made is a reminder that this isn’t just fundraising… it’s real impact. It’s hope for families, it’s strength in the hardest moments, and it’s care that’s literally helping save little lives right here at home. We don’t take a second of it for granted. To everyone who shows up, gives what they could, and continues to stand behind this cause year after year—you made a difference.
We are so deeply thankful” Justin, Wheels & Shauna Z99’s Morning Show
“No one ever expects to need the NICU, but when you do, it means everything to have this level of care close to home,” says Lisa Webb, who gave birth to her daughter Elsie on February 24, 2025, at only 29 weeks pregnant. Elsie spent 60 days in our NICU.
“This incredible community continues to show their immense generosity and support for important events such as the Z99 Radiothon. This is evident, not only during and leading up to the Radiothon, but throughout the year at the many events aimed at improving the lives of the people of southern Saskatchewan,” says Dino Sophocleous, president and CEO, Hospitals of Regina Foundation. “Thanks to this amazing community, and our dedicated partners Justin, Wheels, and Shauna Foster, from the Z99 Morning Show and the entire team at Rawlco Radio’s Z99, we are able to invest in the best pediatric care, right here at home.”
Over the past 39 years, the Z99 Radiothon has raised more than $12.6 million for our neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). Thanks to outstanding community support, the Z99 Radiothon, through Hospitals of Regina Foundation, has provided our NICU with leading edge, life-saving technology that helps our medical teams care for our tiniest patients and save babies’ lives.
Our NICU is located in the Rawlco Centre for Mother Baby Care at the Regina General Hospital. Each year, approximately 500 babies require care in the unit, making it an integral part of our pediatric programs in Regina and southern Saskatchewan.
