Rock 102 Stuff the Bus

Rock 102 Stuff the Bus Wraps with an Outpouring of Support

This year’s Rock 102 Stuff the Bus filled two buses, collecting a total of 15,022 pounds of food and $65,626 for Saskatoon Food Bank & Learning Centre (SFBLC).

With another incredible Stuff the Bus in the books, Laurie O’Connor, Executive Director for Saskatoon Food Bank & Learning Centre, shared her gratitude for the overwhelming support: “Days like today are a powerful reminder of the compassion that exists in our community. Every  donation – large or small – plays a meaningful role and shows someone choosing to care for their neighbours. We appreciate every single person who showed up and gave so generously. Your support means families right here at home will have access to the nutritious food they need.”

The success of Stuff the Bus is made possible through the collective effort of a community that continues to show up year after year — a reflection of what can be achieved when people come together with a shared purpose.

Since 2005, Rock 102 Stuff the Bus has demonstrated what this city can do when it rallies together. Every donation supports the Saskatoon Food Bank & Learning Centre’s mission to build a food secure community where all people have access to safe, affordable and nutritious food.

O’Connor added: “When you consider that 40% of the individuals we serve each month are children, the impact of a day like today truly hits home. This support helps ensure families have access to the food they need – not just today, but in the days and weeks ahead.
